My freshman year at Idaho was very memorable with lots of ups and a few downs. It wasn't as easy as I thought adjusting to college life. I definitely had to learn better discipline and self-motivation.But all in all, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Coach Means and my team mates were great and I loved spending time with them, on and off the golf course! I played a lot of golf and did quite well. I even was awarded "Athlete of the Week" shortly after my arrival in Idaho.
The team did great! We travelled all over the U.S. and although it was hard work, trying to keep up with school work, train and travel, it was worth it.
And with all the hard work, the Idaho Vandals won, for the second consecutive season, the Big Sky Golf Championship in Boulder City, Nevada! What a way to end the season.
I'll always cherish my time at Idaho and my freshman year, but for various reasons, including the resignation of my Coach and mentor, John Means, I found myself looking into the possibility of playing for another university. The University of Kansas was my first choice, and I was fortunate enough to transfer there for my Sophomore year.
